In the Chuvash Republic, a court sentenced a 47-year-old local resident to ten years in prison for the murder of a 50-year-old cohabitant.

On Tuesday, March 28, Lente.ru was informed by the regional department of the Investigative Committee of Russia (TFR).

The Russian was found guilty under part 4 of article 111 (“Intentional infliction of grievous bodily harm, negligently resulting in the death of the victim”) of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation. He will serve his sentence in a strict regime colony.

According to the agency, in the period from November 10 to 11, 2022, the drunk defendant quarreled with his cohabitant in a house in the village of Buinsk, Urmansk district. He became jealous of the woman and began to beat her with his hands and a glass bottle on her body. The victim died the next day.

The man carried her body to the veranda and locked it, but on November 30, a neighbor of the Russian accidentally noticed the deceased.
